Passionate about Innovation
We are dedicated to improving the lives of caregivers and patients with superior medical products that are on the forefront of new and emerging technologies.
Parasol Medical develops specialty medical devices that are simple to use and enhance quality of life. Our diverse team of mechanical, electrical, bio-medical, chemical and polymer engineers are problem solvers, embracing the latest technologies to meet new challenges. We look at the obstacles facing healthcare facilities and ask, “How can we make it better?” Because the status quo just means that’s the way things are, not the way they should be.
—Our History
From the beginning, our direct relationships with clinical end-users, matched with our deep healthcare experience and creative thinking, have enabled us to quickly develop and implement new product designs that meet the needs of patients and those who care for them. Our first product, the Parasol Falls Prevention System, arose from a critical need to curb patient falls due to incontinence, a safety problem common to many medical facilities. We quickly expanded, developing additional products like MicrobeCare™, our revolutionary antimicrobial surface treatment, and Remora™, a breakthrough and advanced non-powered NPWT pump that enables users to lead an active, mobile lifestyle. We continue to rapidly expand our footprint throughout the ever-evolving healthcare landscape to create products in the areas of patient safety, advanced wound care, life science and infection control technologies.
We are driven by the passionate belief that patients and caregivers deserve better: better solutions, better care, better lives. At Parasol Medical we’re not just happy making a difference today, we strive to make an even bigger difference tomorrow.
